IAE oli Tiigi Seltsimaja pere-kevadpeol kaaskorraldaja India kultuurinurgaga — rangoli, sari drapeerimine, mehendi ning chai, biryani ja lassi.

On a sunny Saturday in May, Tiigi Seltsimaja in Tartu opened its doors for its family spring festival, a day for families to meet the many communities that live in Tartu. IAE joined as a co-host with a corner of Indian culture.
Visitors drew rangoli patterns in white powder, tried on sarees with help from our volunteers, and sat down for mehendi at the henna table. At the food stall there was biryani, pakoras, masala chai and cool lassi.
None of it would have happened without our volunteers — thank you for your time, skill and good cheer, and thank you to everyone who stopped by.
